Impact of maternal periodontal health on fetus weight in Iraqi pregnant women: a clinical study

Objective: the aim of this study was to investigate relationship between periodontal health condition and weight fetuses in Iraqi pregnant women order magnify importance maintenance during pregnancy. Material Methods: fetus determined using ultrasound scanning for 222 women, accordingly they were divided into two groups: group A: normal B: below fetal weight. Their examined by means Plaque index (PI), Gingival (GI), Bleeding on probing (BOP) Clinical Attachment loss (CAL) WHO CPITN probe. charts each week considered determine normality Results: significant value p=0.00 obtained when comparing parameters groups A B, mean PI, GI BOP higher B (1.1964: 1.4541), (1.1877: 1.4925), (0.3553: 1.3748) respectively.
